The cookie crumbles

My journey yesterday began with a 15 mile warmup before the climb to Leadville. I made it about a mile up the hill before my knee would no longer support me. I hitched a ride from someone who took me all the way down 24 to Poncha Springs. I rode another 35 miles or so on easier terrain until there was a point when I could no longer bend my knee. I unclipped and did a few miles on one leg, but eventually I had to stop. I had no service on my phone, so I stuck my thumb out again. An old couple from NY took me as far as Canon City and tufftommy rescued me from there. Once I have a further plan, I'll update.
