I zonked in the bushes of a rest area last night about 20 ft from a "No Overnight Camping" sign. I must have been well enough concealed since nobody gave me grief. It was right by the river, so my gear was soaked this morning. Soon as the sun peaked over the mountains, I laid everything out to dry and ate some breakfast. I'm currently at a gas station having a cup o' coffee and loading up on my typical regimen of ibuprofen.
I'm not sure I'll make Leadville under my own power today, but I can start and give it all I've got.

Somehow that "Little Engine That Could" mantra got me over many a hill as a runner. Good idea, tt. Hope it works for you today, Kiddo. I'm with you every pedal stroke. Make this day a great one, however it plays out. You are my hero!! I love you.
