Whew! Made it!

I arrived in Oak Creek around 5:00. I just beat the next storm. I figured out how to keep my Achilles from hurting too bad, but no luck on the knee. I iced both right away when i got here. I think it's just gonna hurt and I'm just gonna suck it up best I can.

The trip up here from Steamboat Springs was gorgeous and surprisingly dry. The rain let up soon after I turned off on 131. Then I turned off on what I thought was Route 14, but ended up meandering on a few miles of dirt road before I found the right road. I eventually got here. I saw another deer on my way. She was right at the side of the road. When I came around the bend, she spooked. I stopped the bike and cooed a little. She stopped and turned around. We looked each other over for a long while before she finally ran off.
